I Can't

$45.00

Towards the beginning of my time in High School, I developed an anxiety disorder, which at times caused me almost daily panic attacks. Many people have asked me to describe my anxiety, but I've never felt that my words do justice to the immense weight of what I feel during a panic attack. Words have never been my strongest medium though, and I've always had a very visual mind, so through this project I've decided to describe how my disorder feels with images. These photographs also exist as handmade fine art prints, but I think perhaps they are strongest as a book. A book doesn't have the same "wow" factor that a large framed print on the wall can have, but it does give me a more nuanced control over how the work is viewed. In the order of images and pace at which they are introduced I can construct a narrative which would be difficult to convey in a gallery of photographs, and impossible as a single image.
